Asher and I had our 2nd annual Man Meeting this past Saturday.  Last year, the theme was "things a boy can only ask his daddy and things only a daddy could tell his son."  This year, the theme was "the next step."  I challenged Asher to begin thinking about how he would plan his next steps.  I prompted him by asking him how he felt school was going, and if he thought he was in the right school (v. home school or some alternative).  We also talked a little about responsibility - him taking more and more charge of his life.  Besides that, we just had a lovely visit and some Man Time.

Specifically, the Man Time was spent at two venues:  the Arkansas Air show and Vino's Pizza downtown.  We only talked business at Vino's.  The air show was all about enjoying the Blue Angels and the other many planes that were on display - we got to walk through cargo planes, sit in fighter jets, and that sort of thing.  What a time!

I'm so proud of Asher.  At this rate, he'll grow up to be quite a fine Man.
